This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use and disclosure of your information through the Digital Lumens Mobile Application: LightRules Mobile (the “DL Mobile Application”). By downloading the DL Mobile Application, you are consenting to the collection and processing of personal and other information described in this Privacy Policy, now and as amended.

Personal Information

In order to optimize full functionality of the DL Mobile Application, specific personal data will be collected, including your email address, anonymized usage data and application settings specific to your company’s control configurations in the LightRules Platform (Digital Lumens Privacy Policy).  When an action is performed such as user login, application usage, etc., personal data is collected. A salted hash of your password is stored within customers’ local installation of the LightRules platform software.  This guards against the possibility that someone who gains unauthorized access to the database can retrieve the passwords of every user in the system.

Application settings specific to your company’s control configurations in the LightRules Platform are downloaded and stored on your device and on your local installation of the LightRules platform software and Digital Lumens servers.

Our Service Providers

Digital Lumens uses service providers to collect, use, analyze and otherwise process information on our behalf.  Your anonymized usage data is shared with one or more analytics service providers.  We expect our service providers to handle personal information in a manner consistent with our policies and legal obligations.

Our Global Colleagues

Digital Lumens is a member of the OSRAM group of companies, a global provider of efficient lighting solutions. We may share your personal information within the OSRAM group both domestically and internally, and in accordance to local data privacy laws.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Digital Lumens may decide to sell, merge or reorganize its businesses. As part of the transaction, we may need to disclose personal information to prospective or actual purchasers. Digital Lumens will endeavor to offer the appropriate protection for information in these transactions.

Disclosures Required By Law

In certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your personal information pursuant to legal, regulatory, judicial or other governmental requirements, requests, subpoenas, warrants, or orders. We may also disclose your information if we believe it is necessary or appropriate to prevent injury, property damage or financial loss or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity.

Information Security

Digital Lumens implements reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. Although our goal is to protect your information, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.


We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child provided us with information without their consent, he or she should contact us at We will delete such information from our files within a reasonable time following confirmation.
