Digital Lumens’ Intelligent LED Lighting System for Hazardous Locations Named a Product of the Year
Boston, April 10, 2014 – Digital Lumens announced today that its intelligent LED lighting system for Hazardous Locations was named a Product of the Year in the Luminaires (Harsh and Hazardous Location) category by Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) Magazine, the technical authority for electrical professionals in the industrial and commercial space. The product, which saves its customers up to 90 percent in lighting-related energy expenses and is built to withstand robust conditions, was recognized by a panel of professionals in the engineering, contracting, plant facilities and maintenance industries.
This marks the second consecutive year that a Digital Lumens product was awarded Product of the Year by EC&M. The Product of the Year competition, which was established by EC&M in 2000, honors excellence in new product development in the electrical industry. This places the company in the running for the 2014 Product of the Year Platinum, Gold and Silver awards which will be determined by an online readers’ poll which will go live in May.
Digital Lumens’ LED Lighting System for Hazardous Locations is suitable for extreme environments, including petrochemicals, grain processing and volatile processing environments where safety and maintenance are persistent concerns. Additionally, these products help organizations use dramatically less energy than traditional high bay lighting solutions. Each Digital Lumens intelligent LED lighting fixture is wirelessly integrated with LightRules, the Digital Lumens web-based lighting control and management platform that drives the industry’s highest energy efficiency and lowest overall operating costs.
“We are thrilled to be honored with a Product of the Year award by EC&M Magazine for the second year in a row. This recognizes our commitment to developing products that help electrical professionals do their jobs more efficiently and effectively,” said Tom Pincince, CEO of Digital Lumens. “The recognition from a panel of electrical experts motivates us to continue to innovate and deliver industry-leading lighting technologies for robust environments.”
