Maximizes Energy Efficiency and Turns Lighting into a Managed Resource
Boston, Mass., December 15, 2010 – Digital Lumens, developer of the industry’s first Intelligent Lighting System™, today announced a new release of LightRules™, the Company’s lighting management software. LightRules features expanded control and reporting capabilities that empower facility staff to manage lighting delivery and directly impact the bottom line.
“LightRules is the most effective solution we have seen for managing lighting systems,” said Gabriel Andreson, Director, Lighting Programs, Bluestone Energy Services. “We are always looking for strategies that help our customers lock in long-term energy efficiency savings, and LightRules provides essential support for ongoing management and modification. We are excited to offer LightRules and the entire Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System to our industrial customers as we help them meet their efficiency goals.”
As part of the Digital Lumens Intelligent Lighting System, which integrates LEDs, sensors and controls into a single, networked solution, LightRules enables managers and staff to specify precisely how each intelligent light fixture behaves – by time or day of week, and fixture-by-fixture, aisle-, room-, or facility-wide.
This latest version of LightRules gives facility manages a simple yet informative dashboard for quick system status updates, detailed scheduling tools, the ability to configure different facility lighting profiles, and a full suite of reporting templates which can be used for internal monitoring or utility measurement and verification (M&V) purposes. In addition, it includes role-based security controls, which ensure that each user can only access the LightRules features for which they are authorized.
“Tightly integrated with our Intelligent Light Engines, LightRules enables facility managers to maximize energy savings which, for many of our customers, reach 90%,” said Brian Chemel, CTO of Digital Lumens. “With the ability to determine when, how and where lighting is used, LightRules gives managers essential operational data, allowing them to easily implement lighting control programs to further optimize efficiency and to adjust to their facility’s changing needs.”
