Mike Rubino, Departing CFO of A123 Systems, to Join Digital Lumens as Chief Financial Officer

Industry Veteran Brings 25 Years of Experience in High-Growth Companies

Boston, Mass., November 30, 2010Digital Lumens, developer of the industry’s first Intelligent Lighting System™, today announced that Mike Rubino will join the company as Chief Financial Officer.  Rubino comes to the company from A123 Systems, where he has served as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration.  He will take over day-to-day responsibilities at Digital Lumens in mid-January.

“Mike’s breadth of experience, which spans global operations, sophisticated government policy, and cleantech financing to accelerate new technology adoption, makes him a strategic addition to the team as we expand into new markets,” said Tom Pincince, President and CEO of Digital Lumens.  “From venture-backed startups to public companies, Mike’s financial and operational expertise will be pivotal as we scale.”

Rubino will join Digital Lumens after more than six years as CFO and Vice President of Finance and Administration at A123 Systems, where he managed the company’s financing including successful capital raises up through initial public offering.  Prior to A123 Systems he served as the CFO of Maker Communications (acquired by Conexant Systems after a successful IPO), Agile Networks (acquired by Lucent Technologies), Ellacoya Networks, and Telephotonics (acquired by DuPont).
